Covenant Health Park to open in 2025

Covenant Health Park will officially open in 2025 for the return of baseball to Knoxville for the first time in 25 years.
The stadium also will be home to One Knoxville SC of the United Soccer League (USL) and a multitude of community events from concerts to festivals to parties to corporate retreats.
The Hot Stove blog has documented the progression of the transformative project from the Aug. 11, 2020, announcement of a proposal to bring baseball back to Knoxville to a tour of the site as the stadium stood shape. In less than three months, two words – play ball! – will be shouted minutes before the first pitch by the Knoxville Smokies at Covenant Health Park.
This site also will undergo a transformation to promote Covenant Health Park as it prepares to host upcoming events at the stadium, including baseball games and soccer matches, and serve as a centerpiece on the edge of the Old City.
The Knoxville Smokies will debut April 15, 2025. One Knox opens at home on April 26. The stadium features a retractable pitcher’s mound, so changes can be made quickly to the layout of the field to accommodate the overlap of both sports.
The stadium also will be a gathering place for the community with activities inside and outside the stadium and an array of dining and retail opportunities.
The blog posts will be archived on the site as a timeline of the process.
See you at Covenant Health Park.
