Boyd Sports announced Aug. 11, 2020, a proposal for a new baseball complex in Knoxville that would be modeled after Chicago’s famed Wrigleyville with a multi-use stadium, residential units, retail and restaurants. Randy Boyd has offered to donate the property needed for the stadium project, which is adjacent to the Old City and would connect the center city with East Knoxville.
